1. Booking & Payment
- A booking is not confirmed until Maison Jasmilaks has approved the requested date, time, location and experience details and the required reservation payment has been received.
- A 50% reservation deposit is required to secure the booking.
- The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the scheduled experience.
- Setup and breakdown time are separate from the customer’s reserved experience time.
- Any additional time requested is subject to availability and additional hourly charges.
2. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- The 50% reservation deposit is non-refundable once the booking is confirmed.
- Clients may reschedule one time when Maison Jasmilaks receives at least 14 days’ notice.
- The reservation deposit may be transferred to one new available date occurring within 6 months of the original booking date.
- Cancellations or requests to reschedule made less than 14 days before the experience will result in forfeiture of the reservation deposit.
- Once the final balance has been paid, payments are non-refundable.
- Permit fees, venue fees, custom purchases, personalized items, third-party vendor charges and other expenses already incurred specifically for the client’s experience are non-refundable.
3. Weather & Location Closures
Outdoor experiences are subject to weather and location conditions. If Maison Jasmilaks determines that weather, beach or park closure, fire conditions, unsafe conditions or another circumstance outside of our control prevents the experience from being safely provided, we will work with the client to reschedule the experience to another available date.
Weather-related cancellations do not automatically qualify for a refund when Maison Jasmilaks is able to reschedule the experience. If Maison Jasmilaks is unable to provide the confirmed experience and cannot offer a reasonable alternative, the client may receive a refund of payments made to Maison Jasmilaks.
4. Beaches, Parks & Public Locations
- Some beaches, parks, scenic areas and other public locations require permits, reservations or additional fees.
- Locations requiring permits should be requested at least 3 weeks in advance.
- A requested location is not guaranteed until Maison Jasmilaks confirms that it can be used for the experience.
- Permit fees, parking fees, entrance fees, venue charges and similar location expenses may be charged separately.
- If a requested location cannot be approved or becomes unavailable, Maison Jasmilaks will work with the client to select another suitable location or date.
5. Food & Beverage Policy
Food and beverages are not included in the standard Maison Jasmilaks experience unless specifically stated in writing. Clients may bring their own food and beverages where permitted by the location. Maison Jasmilaks may also help coordinate a properly permitted third-party food or catering provider when requested.
Because many setups include light-colored rugs, cushions, linens, furniture and décor, certain foods and beverages present a high risk of permanent staining or damage. The following should not be consumed or placed directly on rugs, cushions, upholstered furniture or other fabric areas:
- Tomato and red sauces; pizza or pasta containing heavy red sauce.
- Very oily or greasy foods.
- Red wine, dark-colored juices, strongly colored cocktails or drinks.
- Foods containing heavy artificial coloring, dark berries or berry sauces, brightly colored frosting or icing, and chocolate sauces.
- Other foods or beverages likely to permanently stain fabrics.
Food and drinks should remain on tables or other designated eating areas whenever possible. Maison Jasmilaks may ask that particularly high-risk food or beverages remain outside certain parts of the setup. The client is responsible for informing their guests of these requirements.
6. Spills, Stains & Cleaning
Normal use of the setup is expected, and minor cleaning associated with normal use is included. The client is responsible for additional cleaning costs resulting from excessive spills, grease, food, beverages, makeup, paint, bodily fluids or other substances requiring professional or specialized cleaning.
If a spill occurs, the client should notify Maison Jasmilaks immediately rather than attempting to clean the item using chemicals, bleach or other products that could cause additional damage.
7. Damage, Loss & Broken Items
Maison Jasmilaks equipment and décor remain the property of Maison Jasmilaks. The client accepts responsibility for the setup and Maison Jasmilaks property during the reserved experience and is responsible for damage caused by the client or their guests beyond normal wear and tear.
This includes permanent stains, torn fabrics, broken furniture or tableware, damaged parasols, teepees, lanterns or décor, burns, missing items, food or beverage damage, damage caused by children or guests, and damage resulting from moving equipment without permission.
If an item can reasonably be cleaned or repaired, the client is responsible for the reasonable cleaning or repair cost. If it is lost, destroyed or damaged beyond reasonable repair, the client is responsible for the reasonable replacement cost. Maison Jasmilaks will provide details of the damaged or missing item and the amount due.
8. Children & Guest Supervision
Children are welcome at appropriate Maison Jasmilaks experiences. The client or another responsible adult must supervise children at all times. Maison Jasmilaks staff are not responsible for childcare or guest supervision. Guests should not climb on tables, pull on parasols, move large furniture or misuse any part of the setup.
9. Personal Property
Clients are responsible for their own personal belongings. Maison Jasmilaks is not responsible for items forgotten, lost or left unattended at the experience location.
10. Add-ons & Custom Requests
Add-ons and custom upgrades are subject to availability. Custom items, florals, balloons, signs, photography, additional furniture, third-party services and other special requests may require additional payment. Prices listed as “starting at” may increase depending on quantity, design, location, labor, customization or vendor costs. Final customized pricing will be disclosed before approval.
11. Experience Time
The reserved experience begins and ends at the times stated in the confirmed booking. Clients who arrive late do not automatically receive additional experience time. Additional time may be purchased only when the schedule and location allow it, at the applicable hourly rate.
12. Acknowledgment
By confirming a booking, the client acknowledges the booking details, cancellation and rescheduling policy, non-refundable reservation deposit, food and beverage restrictions, responsibility for damage, loss, excessive staining or cleaning caused by the client or guests, and responsibility for informing guests of the applicable rules.
